It’s all about the Carbon Dioxide
Carbon Dioxide increases the “Greenhouse Effect:” Warming that results when the atmosphere traps heat radiating from Earth.
The gas is released when animals exhale, when volcanoes erupt and when fossil fuels – coal, oil, and natural gas, for example – are burned.
People have increased the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere by more than a third since the Industrial Revolution.
“This is the most important long-lived “forcing” of climate change.”
