Ice Is Melting and the Seas are Rising

The Ice Is Melting

As global temperatures have risen, billions of tons of ice have been lost in Greenland and Antarctica.

The Arctic has seen declining ice for decades, too.

Winters are depositing less snow cover. And what little is there, melts faster.

As ice melts, the sea level rises. It is 6.7 inches higher now than it was a century ago.

People living on coastlines will experience flooding.
